Forex MegaDroid is one of our favourite automated Expert Advisors and one we have run for a long time on our personal accounts.

We have added this Expert Advisor to our new live Forex robot trading portfolio and will post the individual trading results and experiences with the system within this thread.

How can you set up MegaDroid to trade more often?

Hi JoshHart. Firstly welcome to the Forums! As we build our forums up we hope that you will find these a great place to discuss and refine your automated trading.

Within the settings it is not possible to set up Forex Megadroid to trade more frequently. However...

You can get around this by setting up multiple charts and applying the GMT offset to them. You need to find the rough time that Megadroid becomes active (I think its around 22:00 GMT) and then set your first chart up for this time.

Then set up two more charts at +1/ -1. So you end up with three charts and three potential trading windows.

I haven't used this for a long while and certainly not on the latest 1.37 as after experimenting with it some time ago I didn't find it made the system any more profitable.

Ok thanks for that. I might give this a run on a demo account to see what happens. How many hours either side would you recommend?

Hey Josh. I would just set it to trade one hour either side. Remember MegaDroid is looking to trade during the quieter Asian session, therefore you want to keep it within those hours.

Interesting message come up on Forex Megadroid - "Trading has been temporarily suspended due to dangerous market conditions. To ignore this warning set 'RemoteSafetyMode' input to false.

Think we'll leave this on as we don't want these conditions to hit us with a loss!

Mines been back to trading since Tuesdays (message now gone). Also booked some good pips in the last few days in a week when pretty much everything else has been down!

I've gone live with this system on Alpari and have had a few trades. A little profit but nothing huge so far.

Are there any other systems that are similar that I could try out?

There was another system that was pretty similar to MegaDroid (maybe Silver robot or something?). This used a similar strategy across some other currency pairs. I don't think it worked out too well though.

If you are using Megadroid then it might be better to diversify you approach any try something using a different strategy. I getting some good results with Forex Cleaner at present but there are plenty other systems you could try. Check out some of the reviews on here and then see how they are performing in the live tests.
